T-Mobile HTC HD2 event March 16, Nokia battery patent, and Olive FrvrOn uses AAA batteries

T-Mobile is sending out invites to an event on March 16 for the HTC HD2. All signs point to a launch for the handset on March 24.

Nokia has filed a patent for battery tech using piezoelectric to self-regenerate. The patent covers a system that will allow batteries in a mobile phone to charge themselves using motion.

A cheap handset called the Olive FrvrOn has surfaced with an interesting feature for those away from a power outlet frequently. The handset can be powered with any plain old AAA battery.
